Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and KatiaLabs ("we", "us"), the maker of Eatsight. They cover the Eatsight app and this website. By using Eatsight you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. Who can use Eatsight
You must be at least 16 years old. If the law where you live sets a higher age for agreeing to these terms, you must have a parent's or guardian's permission until you reach it.
2. Your account
Eatsight creates an anonymous account when you first open it, so you can start right away. You can then add an email address or sign in with Apple or Google to keep your diary safe across devices. You're responsible for keeping your login details private and for what happens under your account. Tell us at info@katialabs.com if you think someone else has accessed it.
3. What Eatsight is, and what it isn't
Eatsight helps you log meals and understand nutrition. Meal analysis, calorie and nutrient targets, and Sage's coaching are produced by software, including AI, and are estimates that can be wrong. Eatsight is not a medical device and doesn't give medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Read the disclaimer before relying on it, especially if you have a health condition.
4. Free plan and Eatsight Pro
- Free plan: Eatsight is free to use with daily limits, currently 3 meal scans and 3 coach questions a day. We may change the free plan.
- Eatsight Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, offered weekly, monthly or yearly. The current price for your country is shown in the app before you buy.
- Billing: payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the same price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Free trials: if a plan includes a free trial, it turns into a paid subscription when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. You can use a free trial only once.
- Cancelling: you can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app or your Eatsight account does not cancel the subscription. After you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies. We can't issue refunds for store purchases ourselves.
- Price changes: if we change the price of a subscription, Apple or Google will tell you in advance, as their rules require, and where required ask for your consent.
- Restoring: if you reinstall Eatsight or switch devices, use "Restore purchases" in the app with the same store account.
5. Coins and challenges
Some club challenges use in-app coins. Coins have no cash value, can't be transferred or exchanged for money, and may expire or change as the feature evolves.
6. Your content
You own the photos, text, messages and other content you add to Eatsight. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process and display that content only to run Eatsight for you. That includes sending it to our AI provider for analysis and showing it to the members of clubs you share it with. The license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content already shared that others have legitimately kept, such as club chat history.
Only upload content you have the right to share. Don't upload photos of other people without their permission.
7. Community rules
Clubs and challenges should feel safe. Don't use Eatsight to:
- harass, bully, threaten or shame anyone, including about their body, weight or food;
- promote eating disorders, extreme restriction, self-harm or dangerous challenges;
- post hateful, sexual, violent or illegal content, or spam;
- pretend to be someone else, or collect other users' data;
- reverse-engineer, scrape, overload or interfere with the service, get around usage limits, or use the coach to produce content for other purposes.
We may remove content, or suspend or close accounts, that break these rules or the law. Report problems to info@katialabs.com.
8. Our rights
Eatsight, its software, design, name and the Sage character belong to KatiaLabs. We give you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app for your own, non-commercial purposes while you follow these terms.
9. Changes and availability
We keep improving Eatsight, so features may change, be added or be removed. We try to keep the service available but can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
To the extent the law allows, Eatsight is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted operation. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived by contract.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, KatiaLabs is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on estimates or coaching in the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to Eatsight is limited to the amount you paid us for Eatsight in the 12 months before the claim. These limits don't apply to liability that can't be limited by law, including liability for intent or gross negligence.
12. Ending the agreement
You can stop using Eatsight and delete your account at any time from the in-app menu (see how to delete your account). We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we have to by law. If we stop offering Eatsight altogether, we'll give reasonable notice where possible.
13. App stores
These terms are between you and KatiaLabs, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google aren't responsible for Eatsight or its content, and have no obligation to provide support or maintenance for it. If you downloaded Eatsight from the App Store, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and tell you in the app before significant changes take effect. If you keep using Eatsight after that, the updated terms apply.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Disputes are handled by the competent courts and, where applicable, the consumer arbitration committees (Tüketici Hakem Heyetleri) of Türkiye. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring claims there.
